Wi-Fi Drive Enclosure

Here’s something pretty cool that is being shown off at CeBIT. The EDS Labs Wi-DRIVE. As the name implies it is a hard drive enclosure with Wi-Fi capability so after configuring it for your network, you will have access to your drive without any wires!

To be made available in 1.8 inch as well as 2.5 inch HDD Enclosure forms, the unit will also have a Li-ion battery which will be able to support continuous use for about 2 hours (in theory). Sounds pretty cool to me. Able to support 3 different networks, this could make a pretty good portable drive. Kinda makes you feel like you’re in a movie. Walk up to your comp. Pull out your Wi-DRIVE and start copying your company’s trade secrets and just walk out.

LOL!
